There is nothing more classic than a fall engagement session in Central Park. The trees are starting to change, the light is glowing and warm, and the wretched summer heat gives way to cooler autumn days.
We started the session near Bethesda Terrace. Right in the heart of the park at 72nd Street, Bethesda Fountain is one of the most iconic locations for a portrait session in all of New York City.
Then we were off to the oldest cast iron bridge in the US, Bow Bridge. I love how the light falls on the bridge at this time of day!
The hustle and bustle of New York City extends even to the peaceful park. Bethesda Terrace is always teeming with people. The business of the scene makes the quiet moments found there even quieter and sweeter.
We walked around and chased the light, finding great quiet spaces with beautiful, glowing sunlight.
The Lake in Central Park is quiet, charming, and especially gorgeous on a lovely fall day.
Guzey and Ali are so sweet together, kind and tender together at all times.
Sometimes it’s not about the location, the famous building in the background, or the quirkiness of the space and pose. Sometimes it’s just about a sweet moment between a couple that is so incredibly compelling.
The Naumburg Bandshell is normally crazily crowded, but that day we had it all to ourselves.
Guzey and Ali, thank you for spending the afternoon with me! It was great to get to know you a bit more, to spend a gorgeous few hours wandering around the delicious light, and to document this time in your engagement!
