I capture the unspoken — the glances, the silences — drawing from New York's pulse and the richness of global cultures. Every wedding is its own intricate narrative. Rooted in theatre and life's everyday rhythms, I document moments both transient and timeless.

Hey, I'm susan!

St. Regis Atlanta Indian Wedding

Where do I even start describing Pali and Jay’s wedding weekend?  From Pali’s emotional pithi ceremony in her parents’ home to the incredible light for their portraits before the garba, the extraordinary background of the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, the beautiful speeches, brilliant getting-ready light on their wedding day, absolutely gorgeous ceremony, a baraat on a motorcycle…this really covered all the bases for a perfect wedding!

Here are just a few of my favorite images of the day:

An Indian couple holding each other's hands during their Atlanta wedding. An Indian bride and groom are holding hands on the steps of a stone wall during their wedding in Atlanta. A black and white photo of an Indian couple embracing in Atlanta. An Indian bride and groom standing in front of the Atlanta city skyline on their wedding day. A black and white image of an Indian woman's legs in high heels. An Indian bride's hand holding a wedding ring. An Indian woman is getting her hair done in preparation for an Atlanta wedding, near a window. An Indian bride in a red sari sitting in front of a window in Atlanta. An Indian bride in a red lehenga posing in front of an archway at her Atlanta wedding. An Indian man adjusting his tie in front of a window during a wedding ceremony in Atlanta.

St. Regis Atlanta Wedding Photographer

The St. Regis Atlanta at 88 West Paces Ferry Road NW in Buckhead is a AAA Five Diamond, Forbes Five Star hotel with 151 guest rooms, St. Regis Butler Service, and 27,810 square feet of event space anchored by the 9,042 square foot Astor Ballroom — silver-leaf ceiling, crystal chandeliers, ivory millwork. The Grand Terrace on the 7th floor overlooks the pool piazza in Italian marble. Dual curving staircases in the grand lobby. A personal St. Regis Wedding Specialist assigned to every couple. Up to 690 guests total. I photographed a four-event Indian wedding weekend here across multiple Atlanta venues and the St. Regis was extraordinary.

About the Venue

88 West Paces Ferry Road NW in Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia. AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five Star. 151 guest rooms and suites. St. Regis Butler Service available around the clock. 27,810 square feet of total event space. Personal St. Regis Wedding Specialist assigned to each couple. In-house catering with customizable gourmet menus. Remède Spa on site.

The Event Spaces

The Astor Ballroom is the primary reception space at 9,042 square feet with an additional 3,300 square feet of pre-function space. Silver-leaf ceiling, crystal chandeliers, ivory millwork, garden-inspired palette of tan and mineral green. Up to 690 guests total for the full event space. Column-free layout with flexible configuration for South Asian and Indian weddings requiring multiple ceremony setups.

The Grand Terrace on the 7th floor is the outdoor venue — 2,593 square feet of Italian marble terrace overlooking the pool piazza. Used for outdoor ceremonies and cocktail hours. European in character, with pristine landscaping and views over Buckhead.

The Astor Court is the lobby-adjacent space for rehearsal dinners and farewell brunches, overlooking the hotel lobby and the grand crystal chandelier.

The grand lobby with its dual curving staircases is one of the most photographed features of the hotel — a natural first look and portrait location before any ceremony.

Multi-Day and South Asian Weddings

The St. Regis Atlanta is well-suited for multi-day South Asian wedding weekends. The combination of luxury accommodations, Butler Service, the Astor Ballroom’s flexible layout, the Grand Terrace for outdoor events, and the Astor Court for additional celebrations means every element of a multi-day program — Pithi, Garba, Sangeet, Mehendi, ceremony, reception — can be accommodated within or adjacent to the hotel. Atlanta’s Atlanta Botanical Gardens and Atlanta History Center are both a short drive from Buckhead and pair naturally with the hotel for events spread across multiple venues.

The dual curving staircases in the lobby for first looks and formal portraits. The Astor Ballroom under the silver-leaf ceiling and crystal chandeliers for reception coverage. The Grand Terrace over the pool at golden hour for outdoor ceremony and cocktail coverage. The getting-ready suites with their Five Diamond level of finish and natural light. And for Indian wedding weekends, the full range of outdoor Atlanta locations — the Botanical Gardens, Piedmont Park, the Atlanta History Center — paired with the hotel’s interior for a complete multi-day portrait narrative.
