I capture the unspoken — the glances, the silences — drawing from New York's pulse and the richness of global cultures. Every wedding is its own intricate narrative. Rooted in theatre and life's everyday rhythms, I document moments both transient and timeless.

Hey, I'm susan!

Estate at Florentine Gardens venue guide

The Estate at Florentine Gardens in River Vale, New Jersey is one of the most consistently beautiful wedding venues I photograph in the Garden State. Good light, an iconic staircase, strong outdoor ceremony and portrait locations, and a Grand Ballroom that delivers. A solid, pretty venue in a pretty part of New Jersey. I’ve shot here many times. About The Estate at Florentine Gardens Wedding Venue

Founded by Thomas Daidone and still family-owned and operated, the Estate at Florentine Gardens sits on four acres of beautifully landscaped grounds in River Vale, New Jersey. The property hosts one wedding per day, giving each couple the undivided attention of the venue team and complete privacy. Three decades of continuous investment in the grounds, the buildings, and the service shows.

The Spaces

The Grand Ballroom

The heart of the venue. Twenty-five foot ceilings, crystal chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the room with natural light during the day and look out onto the lit garden at night. Accommodates up to 360 guests. Elegant, well-proportioned, and consistently beautiful to photograph.

The Grand Staircase and Lobby

A wrought iron staircase under a chandelier in a Georgian-style grand lobby with stone fireplace and elegant tile floors. One of the most iconic portrait staircases in New Jersey wedding venues and a natural anchor for first looks, solo portraits, and wedding party shots.

The Gardens and Veranda

Four acres of landscaped grounds with brick pathways, columns, sprawling vines, towering trees, and colorful blooms. The veranda is the primary outdoor ceremony location and photographs beautifully in every season. The outdoor light on this property is genuinely good.

The “Bridal” Suite

A dedicated getting-ready space for the wedding party with good natural light and enough room to move comfortably through the morning.
