I capture the unspoken — the glances, the silences — drawing from New York's pulse and the richness of global cultures. Every wedding is its own intricate narrative. Rooted in theatre and life's everyday rhythms, I document moments both transient and timeless.

Hey, I'm susan!

The Mansion on Main Street wedding

The Mansion on Main Street in Voorhees, New Jersey, is a stunning wedding venue that offers an unparalleled blend of classical elegance and modern luxury.

The venue is set on a unique blend of picturesque grounds featuring immaculately manicured lawns, gardens, and a pond. These rounds offer the idyllic backdrop for your wedding photos. The Mansion is also conveniently located near major highways and Philadelphia, making it easily accessible for guests from out of town.

One of the most striking features of the Mansion is its architecture. The grand ballroom boasts soaring ceilings and elegant chandeliers, while the outdoor veranda provides a breathtaking view of the surrounding grounds. The mansion’s interior also features marble floors, grand staircases, and ornate molding, providing a classic and elegant atmosphere for your wedding day.

The Mansion on Main Street has several locations that are ideal for wedding photos. Here are five of the most impressive locations within the venue:

  1. The Outdoor Veranda: This area provides stunning views of the Mansion’s grounds and gardens, making it an excellent spot for photos with an impressive backdrop. The veranda features comfortable seating, so it can also be a relaxing spot for the couple to relax during the festivities. The sun sets really gorgeously here. You can see many sunset images above that were taken on or near the Veranda.
  2. The Grand Ballroom: The grandeur provides a stunning backdrop for wedding photos. The room features awesome chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling windows, and ornate details, creating classic elegance. The images you see above of the couple snuggling were taken in the Ballroom right before the reception began. It’s a huge space with many opportunities for photos.
  3. The Staircase: The Mansion’s grand staircase provides an impressive setting for bridal portraits or dramatic wedding party shots. The staircase features a wrought-iron railing and intricate molding, adding to its grandeur. This is possibly my favorite place in the entire Mansion. The images of the couple above with the railing in the background were taken on the staircase, specifically on the second floor. I also love looking down and photographing from that vantage point on the stairs.
  4. The Grounds: The Mansion’s massive property offers plenty of outdoor photo opportunities. The gardens feature a wide variety of flowers and plants, and the pond provides a serene and picturesque setting for photos. I love the columns at the outdoor ceremony location, the hedges that separate the walking path from the ceremony location, and the fountain outside. The gardens are a playground for photographers with many different backgrounds, vantage points, and lighting conditions.

In addition to the Mansion’s grounds, Voorhees and the city of Philly nearby offer several picturesque locations for wedding photos. Here are ten of my favorite photo spots in nearby towns:

(Note: Some of these require a bit of a drive, so we’d have to ensure we made the time within your wedding schedule!)
