I capture the unspoken — the glances, the silences — drawing from New York's pulse and the richness of global cultures. Every wedding is its own intricate narrative. Rooted in theatre and life's everyday rhythms, I document moments both transient and timeless.

Hey, I'm susan!

The Merion Cinnaminson Wedding Photographer

The Merion at 1301 Route 130 South in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, is a large, well-run ballroom venue that has been hosting weddings in South Jersey for over 60 years. Four distinct ballrooms. Ample parking. A staff that consistently earns strong reviews. All-inclusive packages that simplify planning considerably. Additionally, the grand spiral staircase and Corinthian marble columns give photographers strong portrait locations. I have photographed three weddings here. It delivers exactly what it promises.

About the Venue

1301 Route 130 South, Cinnaminson, New Jersey. Four ballrooms accommodating 75 to 600 guests. All-inclusive wedding packages with in-house catering, custom wedding cake, and white-gloved tuxedo-attired service. Valet and self-parking are included. A dedicated event coordinator is assigned to each couple. Each ballroom has its own private cocktail room, restrooms, and getting-ready suite. Over 60 years in business in South Jersey.

The Ballrooms

The Palazzo Ballroom is the flagship space. Twenty-three-foot ceilings, Corinthian marble columns lining the perimeter, crystal chandeliers, and a granite dance floor. Up to 600 guests. The scale is genuinely grand. Furthermore, color-changing ceiling lighting gives couples flexibility in setting the mood throughout the reception.

The Skylight Ballroom features a 40-foot glass dome over the dance floor and 30-foot ceilings. Up to 300 guests. Natural light by day, stars overhead at night. The dome is the most distinctive architectural detail at the venue and photographs beautifully during first dances and toasts.

The Palace Ballroom draws on 16th-century French design — 16-foot ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and gold accents. Up to 300 guests. More intimate in character than the Palazzo.

The Empire Ballroom has a contemporary cosmopolitan feel. Up to 300 guests. Cleaner lines and a more modern aesthetic than the other three spaces.

The grand spiral staircase is the primary portrait location — dramatic, well-lit, and accessible before the ceremony. The Corinthian marble columns in the Palazzo add architectural depth to reception coverage. Additionally, the Skylight Ballroom dome creates a distinctive overhead element during first dances. Each ballroom has private outdoor garden access, which provides natural light options during cocktail hour when the weather allows.

What makes The Merion a good choice for a South Jersey wedding?

The combination of scale, all-inclusive simplicity, and consistent execution. Couples who want a large New Jersey wedding with catering, cake, coordination, and parking all handled in one place find that The Merion delivers reliably. Moreover, the staff’s reputation is strong and consistent across many years of reviews. The Skylight Ballroom glass dome is also genuinely unusual among New Jersey venues.
