I capture the unspoken — the glances, the silences — drawing from New York's pulse and the richness of global cultures. Every wedding is its own intricate narrative. Rooted in theatre and life's everyday rhythms, I document moments both transient and timeless.

Hey, I'm susan!

VUE on 50 Weddings

VUE on 50 is on the 50th floor of the Three Logan Square building in Center City Philadelphia, with 360-degree panoramic views of the city, 20-foot floor-to-ceiling windows, and a sunset that photographs unlike anything else in Philadelphia. There is genuinely nothing else like it in the city.

About the Venue

Located at 1717 Arch Street, 50th Floor in Philadelphia. Over 10,000 square feet across three distinct spaces. Up to 230 guests for wedding receptions. Choice of caterers from approved partners, including 12th Street Catering, Perfect Setting Catering, and Sage Catering. The flexibility to choose your own caterer from this list is genuinely unusual for a high-end venue and allows real customization of the dining experience.

The Three Spaces

Vista is the largest space and the primary reception and dinner room. The sunset in Vista is jaw-dropping. Floor-to-ceiling windows catch the sun setting over Philadelphia, and the views extend in every direction.

Observatory is the ceremony-and-cocktail-hour space, with the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and City Hall in the background. The most memorable Philadelphia views of any ceremony space in the city.

The Grand Hallway is the cocktail hour space between the two larger rooms. Step off the elevator and immediately see the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Logan Square fountain stretching toward South Philadelphia. The first view guests get upon arrival sets the tone for the entire evening.

Photography at VUE on 50

The light in this space changes constantly and dramatically throughout the day. Daytime coverage in the Observatory and Grand Hallway uses the city as a backdrop for portraits. The Vista room at sunset produces some of the most dramatic reception photography I make in Philadelphia. The city lights after dark through those floor-to-ceiling windows are extraordinary. Every part of the day at VUE on 50 looks different and equally compelling.

What makes VUE on 50 distinctive as a wedding venue?

There is nothing else like it in Philadelphia. The 360-degree views from the 50th floor mean the city is the decor. The sunset through the Vista room windows is extraordinary. The Observatory ceremony space, with City Hall and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge in the background, is genuinely singular. And the flexibility to choose your own caterer from a list of quality partners is unusual at this level of venue.

What is the catering situation at VUE on 50?

VUE on 50 works with a select group of approved caterers, including 12th Street Catering, Perfect Setting Catering, and Sage Catering. Couples choose from this list rather than being locked into a single, exclusive caterer, allowing real flexibility in cuisine style and budget within the same spectacular space.

What time of year is best for a VUE on 50 wedding?

Spring and fall for the clearest skies and the best light through the floor-to-ceiling windows. April, May, June, September, October, and November are peak seasons. Summer works beautifully for evening receptions when the city lights come up. Winter weddings here have a dramatic quality when the city is lit at night.

Do you photograph weddings at VUE on 50?

Yes. If your wedding is here, I would love to hear about it.
