Inn at Mystic
Located in the heart of Mystic, Connecticut, the Inn at Mystic gives you that true New England feel for your special day. They’ve been hosting luxurious weddings here for over 40 years, so you can trust they know how to make your celebration unforgettable.
What’s even better? You’ll be treated to stunning views of Mystic Harbor and Fisher Island Sound.
With 14 acres of gorgeous property, you have all kinds of spaces to choose from—whether you want a formal sit-down dinner, a laid-back buffet, a cocktail reception, or something totally unique. They’re happy to make it happen.
Plus, the manager is amazing at crafting one-of-a-kind weddings and will be right there with you, guiding you every step of the way.
To give you a little taste of the vibe:
Their beautiful mansion sits on a hill surrounded by lush gardens, a waterfall, a meadow pond, and wide, open lawns—perfect for your outdoor ceremony and those dreamy wedding photos.
At this place, your guests can sip cocktails on the veranda with ocean views, wander through the gardens, and take in the cozy, romantic feel of this historic estate. It’s got all the elegance and seclusion of a private getaway in New England.
Silver Oak Mystic
The Silver Oak Mystic offers a gorgeous rustic space that brings a touch of Napa Valley into Connecticut.
What I love most about this place is how cozy and wholesome it feels—perfect for creating that warm, family-like atmosphere with all your closest friends.
Even with its rustic vibe, it’s fully equipped with all the modern comforts, so you get the best of both worlds.
The setting is breathtaking, featuring handcrafted architecture and woodwork that creates a unique feel with an inviting sense of warmth.
You have several options to host your celebration, from the main clubhouse area to the lounge or the seasonal patio. One of the features here is the impressive twenty-foot, hand-built stone fireplace that you’ll notice right as you walk in.
Also, the original farmhouse woodwork on the hand-cut beams along with the reclaimed wood on the walls and farm tables add to its distinctive character.
If you’re planning an intimate indoor event, the space comfortably seats up to 80 guests. For larger weddings, you can explore the outdoor lawn area that has more space. Be sure to chat with their team to see how they can bring your vision to life.
Mystic Yachting Club at Willow Point
The Mystic Yachting Club at Willow Point is another gem among the waterfront Mystic CT wedding venues. What I really love about this spot is how it perfectly captures that true seaside vibe, both inside and out.
If you’re a couple who loves the ocean, this venue’s fresh, airy, sea-inspired aesthetics make it a dream setting.
Every detail here feels warm and inviting, from the beautiful second-floor ballroom with 360° views of the peaceful Mystic River to the cozy clubhouse and wrap-around deck.
The spaces here are full of character, featuring shiplap ceilings, oversized curved windows, and a lovely dock with water views.
Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a big wedding, this venue offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces that can be customized to fully fit your vision.
Harbor View Landing
Harbor View Landing is a stunning waterfront venue in Mystic, CT that overlooks the Mystic River, and offers a serene setting for your riverside wedding. I have to say, the Mystic River creates the most incredible backdrop for wedding photos—it’s just magical.
If you’re planning a multi-day celebration, you’ll love their selection of luxurious cottages and homes for a cozy, elegant wedding weekend.
But the real highlight? Here, you can enjoy over 500 feet of secluded waterfront on the Mystic River, plus a brand-new 66-foot private dock.
It’s perfect if you’re dreaming of an intimate, distraction-free wedding where, for a moment, it’s just you and your loved ones, with the rest of the world fading away.
Imagine exchanging your vows against the flowing river while your guests take in the lush, green surroundings—it’s truly breathtaking.
And if the weather doesn’t cooperate, they’ve got you covered (literally) with a gorgeous 24-foot starry tent so you can still soak in the outdoor beauty.
Mystic Seaport
Here comes another very popular spot for a wedding.
Mystic Seaport, as another very popular spot for a wedding, is a museum and self-proclaimed ‘ocean-inspired wedding venue’ in Mystic, CT. This place offers stunning waterfront views with large ships as the backdrop for your special day.
I recently photographed a couple here, and we captured some truly dramatic shots with sailboats and big ships in the background. There was even a majestic lighthouse that added a unique touch to the photos.
Now to tell you a bit about this place…
Here, you’ll have plenty of areas to choose from across their 19 acres of property. Many couples choose to host their reception at the boat shed at Lighthouse Point, where you can enjoy ocean views and that authentic seaside vibe.
This area can accommodate up to 200 guests, making it perfect for mid-sized weddings. If you’re planning a larger celebration, the North Lawn will be a better option, with a capacity for up to 500 people.
If you’re worried about the rain, there’s a pavilion that you can go under and have your reception covered, so you can still enjoy the outdoor setting even if the weather doesn’t cooperate.
