Early Spring Wedding at the Bridge Building
Who? : Erin + Dave
What? : Indoor wedding and reception overlooking Nashville
Where? : The Bridge Building, Nashville, Tennessee
When? : March 2018
I have been a destination wedding photographer for well over a decade and a half now. It began when I was a wedding photographer in Florida, traveling from Tallahassee to Miami at first to shoot weddings on the beaches in the southern part of the state. As my work in Miami became more frequent, clients began hiring me to go to the Bahamas and nearby islands to shoot their destination weddings. As the years rolled by, one destination wedding shoot led to another, then another, then another.
With a busy wedding season here in New York, it’s always nice to take a weekend here and there and travel to a new location for an event. This incredible couple hired me to go to Nashville for their wedding. Despite yet another nor’easter battering New York, everyone was able to make the trip (some earlier than planned, some later!) down to slightly warmer Nashville for the celebration.
After a weekend full of hot chicken, walks around downtown, avoiding the crowds in town for the Eagles concert, navigating crazy soccer-related travel, and bits of rain, I’m back home in New York. But I’d be lying if I said my heart wasn’t still back down south with Erin, Dave, their remarkable families, and wonderful friends. It was a warm, welcoming weekend, and it was such an honor to work with such and incredible couple.
Here are just a few of my favorite images of the day:
