I’m one of New York City’s most sought-after wedding photographers of 2022. With my background in theater, dance, business, and photography, combined with a keen eye for creativity and capturing unique moments, I desire to create beauty through enchanting photography.
In my lifetime, I’ve lived all over the place, from Atlanta to New York to Florida. With my camera in hand and a dream career path ahead, I returned to New York, ready to capture the amazing people of this area. 2001 was a monumental year, the one when I became a mother and also the one when I shot my first wedding. My style of wedding photography is unique in that it doesn’t just consist of popular buzzwords. I try to blend photojournalism and documentary-style photography with modern flair and creative editing. Simultaneously, I also capture all those gorgeous wedding day portraits and poses that every couple wants.
My style centers around minimal staging, but I believe in setting the scene for optimal lighting and framing. Furthermore, I take some posed portraits and try to capture those fun, candid moments just as they occur. I won’t leave the day’s photo opportunities entirely up to chance. Still, I will do my best to capture those beautiful, unscripted moments on camera without bothering you with hours of painstakingly crafted portrait photography.
I love capturing the laughter, the tears, the way the bride’s veil and dress move in the wind and float in the light, the groom’s stunned face as he sees his husband walk down the aisle, the way a mother looks at their daughter in a wedding dress with conflicting feelings of joy and sadness.
Traditional wedding photographers work from a list of essential snapshots; I tend to go with the flow. It doesn’t matter to me that everyone is smiling and looking at the camera in every image. I want to document your big day exactly as it happens creatively.
