I capture the unspoken — the glances, the silences — drawing from New York's pulse and the richness of global cultures. Every wedding is its own intricate narrative. Rooted in theatre and life's everyday rhythms, I document moments both transient and timeless.

Hey, I'm susan!

Meadow Ridge on the Hudson Wedding

Meadow Ridge on the Hudson in Coxsackie, New York is 100 acres on the bank of the Hudson River with views of the Berkshires and the Catskills, a 19th-century English-Dutch dairy barn that is one of the largest restored barns in the northeast, a wooded glade ceremony site with the river just beyond the altar, a dock and beach on the water, friendly goats in the paddock, and the kind of light in the Hudson Valley in fall that makes photographers want to stay forever. Two hours from Manhattan. One event per weekend.

About the Venue

Located in Coxsackie, New York, 20 minutes from downtown Hudson. The property was founded in the late 19th century by a Manhattan-based financier who commuted by boat to the river beachfront. Opened as a wedding venue in 2018. One event per weekend — no shared days. Up to 300 guests for a seated dinner. Seven-hour event window with an 11 pm curfew. The minimum wedding budget is approximately $85,000. A professional wedding planner is required with a minimum of partial planning services.

The Spaces

The restored dairy barn is the primary reception space. Twenty-foot reclaimed wood bar crafted from barn wood salvaged during renovations. Raised bandstand that accommodates large bands and full equipment. 250 cross-back dining chairs and five farm tables made from reclaimed barn wood are included. Radiant heat and HVAC on both levels. A getting-ready suite on site.

The bluestone terrace adjacent to the barn has open vistas of the meadows, the Hudson River, and the Berkshires. Dry-stack stone walls create a dramatic entryway to the barn from the terrace.

The wooded glade is the primary ceremony location. A clearing in natural woods on the bank of the Hudson River, surrounded by towering oak and black walnut trees. The river is visible just beyond where vows are exchanged. Cedar arch and chuppah available. Golf cart with driver included for accessibility.

A dock and beach area on the river is available for couple portraits. The meadows, pond, streams, and red maple allées provide panoramic views in every direction. Friendly goats in the paddock are a genuine bonus.

What to Know Before You Book

Outside caterers only, from an approved list. No on-site overnight accommodations. Most couples arrange guest accommodations in the nearby town of Hudson or in Albany. Rehearsal dinners can be hosted in the Garden, a separate space from the main venue, so the reveal is not spoiled. Parking for up to 150 vehicles on site, but most couples provide shuttles for guests. A bonfire is included in the rental.

What makes Meadow Ridge on the Hudson distinctive?
