8:30 am photography start. 10:30 photography end time. From the sweetest shore town to the center of Manhattan, this day was a ride from start to finish. At the center of it were Victoria and Peter, a couple so dynamic and charming that it almost defies description. From Victoria’s distinctive laugh (that never failed to make me laugh) to Peter’s charm, their incomprehensibly kind and fantastic wedding party to their warm, welcoming families – well, this was simply a great, great day.
I’m often asked what it takes to get great wedding photography. Is it how you pose? Should you wear a particular dress style, color, or pocket square? What if you won’t know what to do with your hands? Should you look at me? Should you learn to ignore me? What I say in response is no, no, none of that matters. What matters is that you’re happy. That the person you’re marrying fills you with a heart-bursting joy. That you’re willing to let that joy explode out of your face. Just be happy. Be happy, and your pictures will be perfect.
Victoria and Peter, here’s to your inspiring happiness. May it light your way always. Thank you for everything.

St. Regis New York Wedding Photographer
The St. Regis New York at Fifth Avenue and 55th Street is a Beaux-Arts landmark founded in 1904 by John Jacob Astor IV, the birthplace of the Red Snapper cocktail, and one of the most consistently beautiful wedding venues in Manhattan. The Rooftop Ballroom on the 20th floor has vaulted cloud-dappled ceilings, gilt chandeliers, and views over Fifth Avenue and Central Park. Central Park is steps away. I have photographed here and would photograph here again without hesitation.
About the Venue
Fifth Avenue and 55th Street in Midtown Manhattan. Founded in 1904, the New York City landmark building. Over 16,000 square feet across 13 to 15 event spaces. Personal St. Regis Wedding Specialist assigned to each couple. St. Regis Butler Service throughout the stay. The King Cole Bar on the ground floor is the birthplace of the Red Snapper, the original Bloody Mary, first served in 1934. A custom Bentley is available for errands within 10 blocks of the hotel, subject to availability.
The Event Spaces
The St. Regis Roof on the 20th floor is the signature wedding ballroom. Vaulted ceilings with a cloud-dappled painted sky, gilt chandeliers, and views over Fifth Avenue and Central Park. Up to 200 guests. This is New York City’s preeminent social ballroom and the hotel’s most photographed space.
The Versailles Room has Waterford Crystal chandeliers, gilded crown molding, and 14-foot ceilings. Ideal for smaller weddings and receptions.
The Fontainebleau Room, Maisonnette I, Astor Suites, and Iridium I are available for intimate gatherings. Each has its own distinct character and level of detail.
The Astor Court and the King Cole Bar provide pre-wedding and cocktail hour settings steeped in the hotel’s century-old history.

Frequently Asked Questions: St. Regis New York Weddings
Where is the St. Regis New York located?
Fifth Avenue and 55th Street in Midtown Manhattan. Steps from Central Park, Fifth Avenue shopping, MoMA, and Rockefeller Center.
What is the St. Regis New York?
A Beaux-Arts landmark hotel founded in 1904 by John Jacob Astor IV. Over 16,000 square feet across 13 to 15 event spaces. The Rooftop Ballroom with cloud-dappled ceilings and gilt chandeliers accommodates up to 200 guests. Butler Service throughout. Personal Wedding Specialist for planning. Birthplace of the Red Snapper cocktail in 1934.
What makes the St. Regis New York distinctive?
The Rooftop Ballroom ceiling is one of the most visually extraordinary features of any wedding venue in Manhattan. Vaulted, cloud-dappled, hung with gilt chandeliers, with Fifth Avenue and Central Park visible from the windows. The hotel’s 120-year history of hosting significant celebrations is embedded in the building itself. And the Butler Service, which attends to every detail from arrival through departure, reflects a standard of care that very few venues match.
Is Central Park close to the St. Regis for portraits?
Yes. Central Park is a short walk from the hotel and is routinely used for couple portraits during cocktail hour. The timing works well — portraits in the park while guests gather upstairs, then back to the Rooftop Ballroom for the reception.
Do you photograph weddings at the St. Regis New York?
Yes. If your wedding is here, I would love to hear about it.
