I capture the unspoken — the glances, the silences — drawing from New York's pulse and the richness of global cultures. Every wedding is its own intricate narrative. Rooted in theatre and life's everyday rhythms, I document moments both transient and timeless.

Hey, I'm susan!

Wedding at the Logan Hotel

If you want to throw a killer party for your family and closest friends, what is the best day of the year to ensure that party atmosphere?  New Year’s Eve, of course!  Every time I shoot a New Year’s Eve wedding I always end up documenting one of the best parties of the year.

I have adored Becca since our first communication (set up by her magnificent wedding planner, Gina).  We talked all things theatre, hit it off immediately, and I just knew that was the beginning of an excellent relationship.  After meeting Hal at their Philadelphia engagement session, it was evident that this couple was a spectacular one.

Becca and Hal chose to celebrate their marriage at Philadelphia’s beautiful Logan Hotel.  Despite the weather being in single digits, it was warm and inviting inside.  The ceremony took place under a beautifully illuminated chuppah, and then the party moved into the iconic Logan ballroom for hours of dinner, toasts, and dancing.

Becca and Hal, thank you for having me at one of the wildest parties ever!  It’s always an honor to ring in the new year at a wedding, and it’s extra special when clients are as marvelous as you two!

Here are just a few of my favorite images of the day:

The Logan Hotel Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

The Logan Hotel at 1 Logan Square sits on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway directly across from Swann Fountain and Logan Square, steps from the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Formerly the Philadelphia Four Seasons, now part of Curio Collection by Hilton. The Grand Ballroom at 4,374 square feet with soaring ceilings and crystal chandeliers. The Stenton with its Carrera marble bar and Parkway views. A lush outdoor Courtyard with a waterfall. An Assembly Rooftop overlooking the Museum of Art. One of the best-located wedding hotels in Philadelphia — the Parkway, the Rocky Steps, the Rodin Museum all steps away. I photographed a New Year’s Eve wedding here and it was one of the best parties I’ve documented.

About the Venue

1 Logan Square, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Formerly the Philadelphia Four Seasons, now Curio Collection by Hilton. On the Benjamin Franklin Parkway adjacent to Logan Square and Swann Fountain. Up to 265 seated in the Grand Ballroom, up to 380 total across all spaces. Outside wedding planner recommended. On-site spa. Urban Farmer restaurant for rehearsal dinners.

The Event Spaces

The Grand Ballroom is the primary reception space at 4,374 square feet with an additional 1,650 square feet of pre-function space. Soaring ceilings, glittering chandeliers, neutral color palette. Up to 265 seated. The Courtyard can be opened into the Ballroom for additional capacity.

The Stenton is 3,240 square feet with a fireplace, reclaimed wood tables, built-in Carrera marble bar, and sweeping views of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Up to 120 guests. More intimate character than the Grand Ballroom — ideal for smaller receptions or rehearsal dinners.

The Courtyard is a lush 4,000 square foot outdoor space with a waterfall, twinkling trees, and furnished terraces. The primary outdoor ceremony location. Opens into the Grand Ballroom.

The Assembly Rooftop Lounge West Deck is 768 square feet of outdoor space overlooking Logan Square, Swann Fountain, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Used for cocktail hours and smaller receptions.

The Peacefield Boardroom provides a private hideaway for the couple immediately after the ceremony — a private cocktail hour display before joining guests.

The Assembly Rooftop with the Philadelphia Museum of Art visible in the background. And outside — the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Logan Square, Swann Fountain, and the Rocky Steps of the Museum of Art are all within walking distance. This is the best portrait neighborhood of any Center City Philadelphia hotel.

Frequently Asked Questions: Logan Hotel Weddings

Where is The Logan Hotel located?

1 Logan Square in Philadelphia, on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway directly across from Swann Fountain, steps from the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

What is The Logan Hotel?

Formerly the Philadelphia Four Seasons, now Curio Collection by Hilton. Grand Ballroom at 4,374 square feet, up to 265 seated. The Stenton at 3,240 square feet, up to 120 guests. Outdoor Courtyard with waterfall. Assembly Rooftop overlooking the Museum of Art. Up to 380 total. Outside planner recommended. Urban Farmer restaurant on site.

What makes The Logan Hotel distinctive?

The location. No other Center City Philadelphia hotel puts couples within walking distance of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Logan Square, Swann Fountain, the Rocky Steps, and the Rodin Museum simultaneously. The Assembly Rooftop view of the Museum of Art during cocktail hour is extraordinary. And the Stenton with its fireplace and Parkway views is one of the more photographically unusual rooms in any Philadelphia hotel.

Is The Logan Hotel good for New Year’s Eve weddings?

Yes. The venue’s ballroom energy and the surrounding Parkway neighborhood make New Year’s Eve here genuinely extraordinary. I photographed a New Year’s Eve wedding at the Logan and it was one of the best parties I’ve documented in Philadelphia.

Do you photograph weddings at The Logan Hotel?

Yes. If your wedding is here, I would love to hear about it.
