Celestine Brooklyn Wedding
On the clearest and most beautiful summer day, Lindsey and Esha were married at my new favorite Brooklyn wedding venue: Celestine.
The weekend began with a sweetly intimate Mehendi party at a loft space in Williamsburg and ended with an afternoon brunch wedding. Lindsey and Esha got ready at home together (something I absolutely LOVE) and then it was off to DUMBO for some portraits of them before heading to Celestine.
If you’ve never been there before, you MUST go! Celestine is an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant located in DUMBO, Brooklyn, with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge. The menu highlights seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients and draws inspiration from Lebanon, Syria, Morocco, and other regions of the Mediterranean. Signature dishes include various mezzes, slow-cooked meats, and seafood. The restaurant is known for its large, panoramic windows and outdoor seating, offering patrons beautiful views.
Brooklyn Bridge Park, with its stunning views and diverse landscapes, is a cherished destination for wedding photography and that’s where we took Lindsey and Esha’s wedding portraits. Its unique combination of urban and natural beauty provides a variety of backdrops that can add a spectacular element to any wedding album. Here are some highlights of the park that make it a popular choice for capturing those special moments:
- Iconic Views of the Brooklyn Bridge: The park offers unparalleled views of the Brooklyn Bridge, creating a dramatic and iconic backdrop for wedding photos. The bridge’s majestic structure adds a touch of grandeur and historical significance to the images.
- Manhattan Skyline Panoramas: One of the park’s most captivating features is its breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline. Couples can capture their moments against the backdrop of the city’s towering skyscrapers, creating a vibrant and dynamic contrast.
- The Lush Greenery and Gardens: Brooklyn Bridge Park is home to beautifully landscaped gardens and green spaces. The lush foliage and flowering plants provide a natural and serene setting, ideal for more intimate and romantic shots.
- The Waterfront and Piers: The park’s waterfront and pier areas offer a unique maritime feel. The wooden planks, moored boats, and views over the East River add a nautical charm to photographs, perfect for couples looking for a distinct nautical or urban vibe.
- Jane’s Carousel: For a touch of whimsy and nostalgia, Jane’s Carousel, a beautifully restored 1920s merry-go-round located within the park, serves as a playful and enchanting backdrop, adding a sense of fun and timeless elegance.
- Cobblestone Streets and Historic Architecture: Nearby DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) area, with its cobblestone streets and historic warehouse buildings, offers an urban, chic backdrop. This area, easily accessible from the park, is perfect for couples who appreciate a blend of contemporary and rustic aesthetics.
- Variety of Photographic Settings: From manicured gardens and open lawns to urban structures and waterfront views, the park provides a range of settings. This variety allows for a diverse and rich collection of photographic opportunities, capturing different moods and styles.
Brooklyn Bridge Park not only offers a multitude of stunning backdrops for wedding photography but also brings the essence of New York City into each frame, making it an ideal location for couples seeking both natural beauty and urban sophistication in their wedding photos.
Celestine is a delightful, comfortable, sweet place to get married and it was the perfect setting for Lindsey and Esha, who are delightful and sweet themselves!
