Hotel du Village in New Hope, Pennsylvania, is the only French chateau estate wedding venue in the northeast. Twelve acres in Bucks County, one hour from New York, one hour from Philadelphia, with 29 on-site hotel rooms, two independent ballrooms, a pool, tennis courts, fire pits, and grounds that feel genuinely removed from the rest of the world. I have photographed here multiple times. It is one of my favorite Bucks County venues.

About the Venue
Located at 2535 River Road in New Hope, Pennsylvania. A Landmark Hospitality property, the same group that operates Stone House at Stirling Ridge. The estate was originally a private school, with the Colt Ballroom named after its architect, Morgan Colt. In 2013, Landmark Hospitality purchased and transformed it into a premier wedding destination. Full estate buyouts are available, making it a genuine wedding weekend destination where guests arrive Friday and linger through Sunday’s farewell brunch.

The Two Ballrooms
The Colt Ballroom is the larger of the two spaces. Ten-foot ceilings, restored hardwood floors, an original copper-detailed fireplace, and an extensive foyer with a private entrance that opens onto views of the stream and landscaped gardens. Accommodates up to 240 guests for a seated dinner.
The Historic Ballroom features elaborate reclaimed-wood ceilings and historic glass windows that look out onto the courtyard and riverside. A more intimate atmosphere, with a comfortable capacity of 140 guests for cocktails, dinner, and dancing. Both ballrooms have their own private entrances, separate cocktail rooms, and ceremony spaces, allowing two simultaneous weddings with complete independence.

The Property
Twelve acres of French chateau gardens with a pool and cabanas, fire pits for evening gatherings, tennis courts, a cigar room, and a game room. The fountain courtyard with its centerpiece fountain. A creekside gazebo surrounded by natural beauty. The orchard with sprawling trees and dappled sunlight. A stone archway that photographs like a portal into another era.
Twenty-nine on-site hotel rooms give guests a place to stay without arranging separate accommodations, which makes the wedding weekend feel immersive rather than logistically complicated.

Photography at Hotel du Village
The Colt Ballroom under the copper fireplace and ten-foot ceilings. The Historic Ballroom with the reclaimed wood ceiling and riverside windows. The fountain courtyard for ceremony coverage. The creekside gazebo for intimate portraits. The orchard in late afternoon light. The stone archways. The grounds at golden hour, when the chateau exterior catches the Bucks County light. And the surrounding New Hope area for off-site portraits along the Delaware River, if the timeline allows.

Frequently Asked Questions: Hotel du Village Weddings
Where is Hotel du Village located?
2535 River Road in New Hope, Pennsylvania, in Bucks County. One hour from New York City and one hour from Philadelphia.

What is Hotel du Village?
The only French chateau estate wedding venue in the northeast, on 12 acres in New Hope, PA. Two independent ballrooms: the Colt Ballroom (up to 240 guests) and the Historic Ballroom (up to 140 guests). 29 on-site hotel rooms. Pool, tennis courts, fire pits, and full estate buyouts available. A Landmark Hospitality property.

What makes Hotel du Village distinctive?
The combination of genuine chateau architecture, 29 on-site rooms, and the full-estate buyout option is what sets it apart. Guests do not need to arrange separate accommodations or shuttle transportation. Everyone stays on the property from Friday through Sunday. The grounds feel European in a way that purpose-built venues cannot replicate, because this was built as a chateau, not designed to look like one.
Can two weddings happen at Hotel du Village simultaneously?
Yes. The Colt Ballroom and Historic Ballroom each have their own private entrances, separate cocktail rooms, and ceremony spaces. Two weddings can occur simultaneously without overlap.
What time of year is best for a Hotel du Village wedding?
All four seasons work beautifully here. Spring, when the gardens are in full bloom. Fall, when the Bucks County foliage turns against the stone chateau. Winter, when the fireplace in the Colt Ballroom is lit, and the grounds are quiet. Summer is the time for the pool and outdoor spaces to be at their liveliest.
Do you photograph weddings at Hotel du Village?
Yes. I have photographed here multiple times and it remains one of my favorite Bucks County venues. If your wedding is here, I would love to hear about it.
