I capture the unspoken — the glances, the silences — drawing from New York's pulse and the richness of global cultures. Every wedding is its own intricate narrative. Rooted in theatre and life's everyday rhythms, I document moments both transient and timeless.

Hey, I'm susan!

About the Venue

Located at 50 Stirling Road in Warren, New Jersey. A Landmark Hospitality property. The architecture draws directly from Frank Lloyd Wright’s philosophy of bringing nature and structure into every surface. Natural materials, clean lines, a neutral palette, and views of the Watchung Mountains from every angle. Executive Chef David Drake is credited as “New Jersey Pioneer of Modern American Cuisine with Classic French Roots,” with over 20 years of culinary experience.

The Two Event Spaces

The Grand Ballroom has 16-foot ceilings, a series of glass doors and walls that open to private gardens and fire pits, slate floors, and views across the Watchung Mountain gardens. Classic clean lines and a neutral palette. Capacity up to 325 guests. The indoor/outdoor transition is seamless, and the gardens change with every season.

The Lodge is on the opposite side of the property from the Grand Ballroom. Mid-century modern and industrial: floor-to-ceiling windows, wrought-iron chandeliers, a 20-foot stone fireplace, brick walls, slate and wood floors, and an angled ceiling that makes every corner worth photographing. A multi-level cocktail space that feels like a private art gallery. No shared corridors, no shared views, no moment where two weddings occupy the same space. This is what exclusive use actually means.

The Outdoor Spaces

The Star Room Bar and iconic water table create a relaxed outdoor dining and cocktail area surrounded by indigenous plants. Fire pits, pine and stone structures, bocce ball courts, and a full-service bar. The 10 acres of Watchung Mountain gardens are designed for outdoor ceremonies, cocktail hours, and portraits that photograph extraordinarily well in every season.

The Food

Executive Chef David Drake has been at Stone House for over 20 years. His culinary program pushes the boundaries of innovation while keeping the comfort of a great brasserie. Guests consistently rave about the food. For food-first couples, this kitchen is a meaningful differentiator.
