8 Stunning Wedding Venues in Hudson Valley
Here are my top wedding venues in Hudson Valley for you to consider for your celebration:
Hudson Valley Weddings at The Hill
Hudson Valley Weddings at The Hill in Hudson, NY, is a venue that uniquely blends the rustic charm of a 19th-century farmstead with the sophistication of a modern luxury estate. It offers a picturesque setting for weddings.
It’s an entirely remarkable space in one of my favorite places along the Hudson River. Its location, just a few hours from New York City, makes it a convenient yet serene getaway for a truly unforgettable wedding weekend.
Nestled amid horse pastures, woodlands, and fields and offering stunning views, The Hill provides an exclusive, secluded space for your special day. The venue’s signature feature, the historic Palladian Barn, the Art Barn, and the vast, scenic outdoor spaces, caters to intimate gatherings and grand celebrations.
What sets The Hill apart is not just its beauty and history but also the comprehensive and inclusive services it offers. Couples can expect a range of amenities, from rustic barn settings equipped with modern conveniences to personalized touches, ensuring every detail of their wedding day is catered to.

Meadow Ridge on the Hudson
Meadow Ridge on the Hudson, located in Coxsackie, New York, is a venue that beautifully marries the charm of a 19th-century farmstead with the sophistication of a modern luxury estate. Set on nearly 100 acres along the scenic Hudson River, it boasts panoramic views of the Berkshire and Catskill mountain ranges, creating a picturesque backdrop for weddings.
The property is characterized by its expansive meadows, lush woodlands, natural streams, and a serene pond, all of which contribute to the venue’s year-round allure thanks to its gardens and allées of red maple trees.
The venue’s highlight is its meticulously restored English-Dutch-style dairy barn, one of the largest in the northeast. This space offers a unique blend of historical architecture and modern amenities and can accommodate up to 300 seated guests, making it suitable for large, intimate gatherings.
The barn is complemented by a large bluestone terrace that allows guests to enjoy the stunning surroundings, including meadows, the Hudson River, and distant mountains. To learn more about this beautiful venue, check out my guide here.
Sleepy Hollow Country Club
Sleepy Hollow Country Club, situated in the scenic Hudson Valley, boasts a rich and fascinating history. At the end of the 19th century, Colonel Elliott Fitch Shepard, a notable lawyer and founder of the New York State Bar Association, purchased over 500 acres for the estate.
The architectural firm of McKim, Mead, & White was commissioned to design a 75-room Victorian manor in the style of an Italian Villa, featuring high ceilings, mahogany paneling, and elaborate gardens. Completed in 1893, the property changed hands in 1910 to William Rockefeller and Frank Vanderlip.
Sleepy Hollow offers a variety of event spaces, each with its own unique character. The Grand Ballroom, with its opulent design, is ideal for large, lavish receptions, while the more intimate spaces like the Vanderbilt Room provide a cozy setting for smaller gatherings.
For couples looking for an outdoor setting, the terraces and gardens offer a scenic view of the Hudson, perfect for a sunset ceremony. Discover more about Sleepy Hollow Country Club here!
Lyndhurst Mansion
Lyndhurst Mansion, located in Tarrytown, New York, is a historic site of significant architectural and cultural importance. The mansion, also known as the Jay Gould estate, is one of the finest examples of Gothic Revival architecture in the United States.
Today, Lyndhurst Mansion is not only a symbol of 19th-century opulence and design but also serves as a museum. It offers tours that showcase its rich history, stunning architecture, and art collections.
The mansion’s Gothic Revival architecture is characterized by its pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, and intricate decorative elements, making it a significant example of the romantic architectural trends of the time.
The mansion is set within a park-like estate that overlooks the Hudson River, adding to its picturesque beauty. The grounds include a variety of outbuildings, such as a carriage house and the greenhouse complex, along with beautifully landscaped gardens.
Weddings at Lyndhurst Mansion offer a blend of historical elegance and picturesque scenery, making it a sought-after venue for couples seeking a unique and memorable location for their special day. Dive into my guide about Lyndhurst Mansion here!
Cedar Lakes Estate
Cedar Lakes Estate is one of my favorite wedding venues near NYC and has everything you need for the perfect weekend with your partner and guests.
The property has a variety of accommodations ranging from smaller cottages that sleep 2-4 people, cabins that sleep up to 8 people, and full houses that can sleep up to 11 people (depending on the house). Whether you want something a bit more private or a space you can enjoy with everyone closest to you, they have you covered.
When it comes to your wedding, you can choose from a mountaintop overlook or a beautiful deck overlooking the lake on the property. Cocktail hour will bring your guests to an amazing open-air pavilion (that has outdoor heating so that you can use it any time of the year!) or over to their poolside patio.
Finally, you can celebrate the night in their barn, which has vaulted ceilings that show off the beautiful wood frame and floor-to-ceiling windows that give you amazing views of the surrounding area all night long!
As if this venue couldn’t get any better, its culinary team will create the perfect menu for your wedding using incredible ingredients grown on-site.
The Garrison
Perched high above the Hudson River, The Garrison offers sweeping views and a tranquil setting that feels worlds away from the city. Its beautifully manicured gardens and elegant indoor and outdoor spaces make it perfect for a sophisticated wedding surrounded by nature.
You can say “I do” in the Garrioson’s pristine garden or have a more intimate celebration in The Windgate, which has stunning French doors that open out onto a stone terrace. The Garrison also has on-site accommodations, dressing rooms, covered outdoor spaces, and top-tier wedding catering services.
Blue Hill at Stone Barns
Blue Hill at Stone Barns is one of the most sought-after wedding locations in New York. Situated amidst the rolling hills of Pocantico Hills, it offers a unique blend of rustic charm and elegant sophistication.
Everything about Blue Hill, from getting ready to the first kiss to the last dance, feels as beautifully relaxed and natural as the farmland it rests on. Floor-length windows and aged wood doorways create lots of ambient light, allowing me to capture all the wedding details and the excitement of getting ready in this magnificent area.
I love the way the barn doors intertwine with climbing vines, arching over doorways mixed with honeysuckle, and tall grasses mixed with livestock; it makes for fantastic images at every turn.
The backdrop created is a canvas perfect for capturing unique and amazing wedding photos and is an excellent choice for wedding couples who want a rustic yet refined venue. Discover more about Blue Hill at Stone Barns here!
Mohonk Mountain House
Mohonk Mountain House is a historic resort nestled in the Shawangunk Mountains. It offers a fairytale-like setting with its Victorian architecture and expansive grounds. One of the standout features of this venue is its location on a gorgeous private glacial lake.
It’s ideal for couples who want a wedding that feels like a step back in time, surrounded by nature and history.
They offer several wedding packages to fit any need, complimentary overnight accommodations, and an onsite wedding coordinator. Furthermore, your reception will be artfully prepared by their culinary team, using fresh, local ingredients from nearby farms.
